Description of the creation process:

Linocut is a high-printing method where a design is first applied to a specially prepared piece of linoleum. Then, images for each card are carved out using special tools. This creates a printing form for subsequent card printing. The form is then coated with printing ink using a roller and manually pressed onto sheets of cardboard that will become the cards. After all sheets are printed on both sides (front and back), the coloring stage begins. Each card is hand-colored with a brush. Next, all finished sheets are varnished with acrylic varnish to fix the paint. Then, the sheets are cut into individual cards and rounded at the corners. Once the decks are assembled, the final step is polishing. Each card is polished with paraffin and wool fabric. The paraffin fills all pores of the paper and covers the card with a thin film, giving it smoothness and ease of handling. Excess paraffin is removed with wool fabric.

Materials: Cards are made from 300 g/m² cardboard, painted with gouache, coated with acrylic varnish, and polished with paraffin to achieve smoothness.
